New Hope Valley Railway’s (NHVR) final Slow Down Sunday ride for its 2018 season is on Sunday, Nov. 11.
Our Slow Down Sunday rides are the perfect way to unplug, slow down and have fun on the Triangle’s Train. At 12 miles-per-hour, you’ll ride through natural beauty over a trestle and through scenic woods. In our high-speed world, slow down with us.
Our final Slow Down Sunday of the season falls on Veterans Day, and NHVR will be honoring the 100th anniversary of the WWI Armistice by participating in the U.S. WWI Centennial Commission’s Bells of Peace: a World War I Remembrance Event. NHVR will ring all of the operable bells on its locomotives for one minute at 11 a.m. commemorating the hundredth anniversary of the end of the first world war.
On Sunday, Nov. 11, we have three departure times at 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m.
Tickets cost $12/adults, $11/seniors (ages 60+), $8/children (ages 2-12), and are free for infants under 2 years of age, in the lap of an adult ticketholder.
