#308 Family Caboose 

Climb aboard our #308 Family Caboose, your own private railcar for up to 14 passengers!

Perfect for families and small groups, this one-of-a-kind caboose offers flexible seating with cozy benches, a roomy cupola for the best views on the train, and charming barn doors that let in a refreshing breeze on summer rides and provide great views during your ride. On cooler days, our historic coal stove adds warmth and nostalgia to your trip.

A ride on #308 isn’t just a train ride, it’s an experience! Connected to the moving train, your group will enjoy comfort and privacy aboard this 100-year-old caboose. Originally built in 1926 by the Magor Car Company for the Seaboard Air Line Railroad as car #5320, #308 is a historic Aberdeen & Rockfish caboose with a story to tell.

Booking is easy! Look for “308 Cab” as a seat type in our online ticketing system. The Family Caboose is sold as its own seat type in our online ticketing system. If you don’t see it listed under Buy Tickets as a seat type, it means it has already been reserved for that ride. When the event listing shows a maximum price of $150–$175, click into that listing to check whether the Family Caboose is still available.

Please note that we also offer a Birthday Party Caboose which is stationary (not attached to a train) and is different than our #308 Family Caboose which is part of our train rides.
